The Neely Swim Team is looking for a motivated Head Coach to work with the Team Coordinators in managing our swim team for the 2022 ASA Summer league Season. Neely Farm is a 330-house neighborhood located near Holcomb Bridge Road and Spalding Drive in Peachtree Corners and the team usually has more than 100 swimmers.
Our season runs from early May through the end of June and includes 5 swim meets, a practice meet and ASA Championship sessions. Qualified individuals should have prior head or assistant coaching experience and be willing to coach swimmers at all levels, including beginning swimmers. Knowledge of Swimtopia Meet Maestro is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities of the Head Coach include, but are not limited to the following:
Attend, direct and manage all swim practices and meets;
Evaluate swimmers for swim group and lane assignments;
Write fun practices with the intention of developing and improving swimmer skills;
Manage and help all coaches (assistant, junior and volunteer coaches-in-training) develop their coaching skills;
Manage all swim team meet entries and train coaches on how to complete them;
Update parents on team and swimmer progress and address all parent concerns;
The Head Coach will be supported by motivated, organized and engaged parent volunteers. We offer a highly competitive salary with an opportunity for a bonus and additional private lesson income.
