SCHEDULE

The NGSL Pentathlon:
This event is being held at the Brad Akins YMCA in Winder on June 7th . This is our league’s version of the Ironman contest. Each swimmer swims each individual stroke and an Individual Medley; a total of five events. All event times will be totaled for a final time and scored accordingly. The scoring is based on those combined times. This meet is designed for more experienced and/or “all-star” swimmers.

The NGSL SPLASH:
This meet will be held at the Habersham Pool in Clarksville or at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center on June 14th.  Teams will be split between the two locations depending on team location and meet size.  The plan for the SPLASH meet is to make it a little different from the other meets.  All swimmers are encouraged to attend.  This will be a competitive meet but the normal schedule of events may be changed.

The NGSL Invitational:
Dacula will host the Invitational this year at their pool on Saturday, June 21th. Only those swimmers who did not swim in the Pentathlon will be eligible for this meet. Each swimmer may enter three individual events and one freestyle relay. This meet is designed for beginner swimmers but experienced swimmers may swim.

District Meet 7 GRPA (not NGSL and covers Jefferson, Commerce, Brad Akins, Habersham, Hartwell, Dawsonville, North Georgia Rapids, Lumpkin):
This is a qualifying meet for the top swimmers in District 7 of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association.  The coaching staff will select swimmers based on times to attend this meet. At the District Meet, the top three swimmers in each event are selected to attend the GRPA State Meet. Several Sea Dragon swimmers qualify each year for the State Meet. This event will be held on Tuesday, July 8th, at the Brad Akins YMCA.  The GRPA State Meet will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 18th and 19th in Tifton, Georgia.

League Championship:
This meet will be held at the Habersham Pool in Clarksville and at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center on Friday July 11th and Saturday July 12th.(split of events has not been determined).  It is electronically timed and computer seeded and scored. At this meet, team scores and individual high points are also computed.  This is the pinnacle for our season as a team, it is critical that all swimmers try to be available for this special meet.
